It is a cmprehensive ne semester curse fr students requiring nly ne semester f general chemistry. STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOME Upn cmpletin, the student shuld have a fundamental understanding f general chemistry and be able t: demnstrate their knwledge f the principles f general chemistry and their applicability, explain the atmic structure, recgnize the difference between inic and cvalent cmpunds, write the names and frmulas f cmpunds, describe the prperties f gases, as well as the relatinships between gas pressure, vlume, and temperature, and perfrm related calculatins. write and balance chemical equatins, explain the difference between slutins, cllids, and suspensin, define and calculate cncentratin, identify buffers, acids, and bases, and define and calculate ph given relevant infrmatin.
