Describe the important components and working principle of UV-visible spectrophotometer. 2. Write the differences between Nephelometry and Turbidometry. Mention few applications of Nephelometric technique. 3. Write a comparative study of fluorimetry and phosphorimetry. 4. Describe the principle of flame photometric analysis. What are its limitations? Write few applications of FES. 5. Describe Electroanalysis at constant current. 6. Write a short note on over potential and decomposition potential. 7. Describe the principle and applications of column chromatography. 8. Write the applications of ion-exchangers in the separation of inorganic mixtures. PART B (4 15 = 60 marks) Answer ALL questions. 9. (a) Describe the instrumentation and working principle of Infrared spectroscopy. How IR can be used for structure determination? Write about the determination of Manganese by using visible spectrophotometer. Describe about different techniques to increase precision in UV-visible spectrophotometric studies. Describe the principle and applications of photometric titrations.
