11 TEACHING & MENTORING EXPERIENCE 1 - Currently mentoring a PhD student (supervised by Dr Clint Kelly, Université du Québec à Montréal), and a honors independent research project on exploration in guppies (supervised by Dr Simon Reader, McGill University). I also mentored two Masters project, on chipmunk torpor and cognition (supervised by Dr Murray Humphries, McGill University) and on ground squirrel population dynamics and conservation (supervised by Dr Jennifer Forbey, Boise State University). I mentored 7 undergraduate projects during my PhD and post-doctoral intership. 2 - Gave guest lectures at McGill University (in English) on animal personality and life history for a behavioral ecology course. I also gave guest lectures at Université du Québec à Montréal (in French) on optimal foraging theory for a course on animal behavior. 3 - Laboratory instructor for general ecology (BIA1700, fall 2012). Involved designing and giving bi-weekly lectures over 6 weeks, and supervising groups of 35 students and 2 teaching assistants during weekly laboratory activities. 4 - Teaching assistant for 6 full terms from August 2009 to September 2011 (Université du Québec à Montréal). I gave weekly introductory lectures to laboratory and field activities, supervising laboratory and field experiments, and grading reports for groups of 10 to 30 students. Classes: animal experimentation (August 2009/2011); general ecology (winter 2010 and 2011, and fall 2012); wildlife management (fall 2010). 5 - High school teacher in biology and geology (Collège Stanislas, Quebec) from January 2005 to July Involved designing lectures, laboratory activities, and supporting material for all five levels of high school (~ 18h of lectures/week). 11 of 12 (updated on 11/07/16)
