1 Notes on Moon Calendar 1/21/2015 I used Sun and Moon data from I chose "District of Columbia" for location, partly because that's what came up on the screen. (For comparison, times in Sperryville, VA differ by 3-5 minutes.) I converted the data to adjust for daylight savings time. I used homemade moon graphics rather than the little moon pictures I ve used in the past because it lets me display more information in the calendar. In doing this I discovered that a) the length of the month varies and b) sometimes there are 29 days between new moons, and sometimes there are 30. I got astronomical events from html I got conjunctions from I added selected holidays I found in Any rhyme or reason to my selection of holidays and observances is purely coincidental. I tried to check for errors but it is always possible that one or more slipped by. If you find errors, please contact me at mjroney@starpower.net. Clear Skies! Milt Roney
