6 Physics DO ANY ONE ASSIGNMENT Assignment 1: Research Conduct an experiment to calculate the diameter of earth and its circumference and write a detailed report about it. The report should contain an introduction, a background information section, experimental design section, observation and results section. Assignment 2: Construct on or both of the following instruments: (i) (ii) Celestial Telescope A Sundial which can be installed in the school Assignment 3: Write a research paper on the astronomical knowledge of the ancient Greeks and ancient Indians. In this, include your personal observation and show your observation chart. Geography SOCIAL SCIENCE Record the minimum and maximum temperatures of each day starting from 25 th December, 2016 to 25 th January, 2017 in a scrap book. Also write down the time of sunrise, sunset and rainfall. A sample format has been attached. Make your project interesting by pasting relevant pictures.

7 History Social Political Life Make a scrapbook of editorial articles from an English National Newspaper. Instructions- Read the newspaper at least three times a week. Cut out and paste articles from the editorial page three times a week (minimum). The date and name of newspaper must be mentioned. Thus, there should be at least 12 articles in your scrapbook. You will have to present on any one of the articles in class.
