In this transcription an age of 3.8 means 3 years and 8 months. Place names are also transcribed as originally written. For example, Gillstown was sometimes spelled with one letter L. The Fair Green is sometimes referred to as Green or The Green, and modern day Connaught Street is universally called Connor Street. reference numbers for each pupil did not always follow in sequence.
