2 INTRODUCTION: This test report shows the testing progress of luminaires currently undergoing evaluation by the Energy Saving Trust. It is intended to issue this report at various stages during the testing of the luminaires. The front sheet of this report will indicate the issue status. Generally the report will be issued to the client upon completion of various test stages. For example:- A/ Initial Luminous Flux (1 hr Life) B/ Lumen Maintenance (1000 hr Life) C/ Lumen Maintenance (2000 hr Life) D/ Lumen Maintenance (4000 hr Life) E/ Lumen Maintenance (6,000 hr Life) F/ Lumen Maintenance (10,000 hr Life) G/ Lumen Maintenance (15,000 hr Life) Any Luminaire failures will be reported on at the time of the interim reports highlighted above. REPORT STATUS CONCLUSIONS The luminaires have completed 15,000hrs; no luminaires have failed during testing so far. 1 hr The luminaires achieved an average lumen output of 571lm with an average wattage of 12.4W. All of the luminaires have a power factor >0.7 as required for a Class 204 luminaire with a system power 15W in accordance with Clause of the specification. All of the luminaires have an efficacy of at least 45lm/W as required for a Class 204 luminaire in accordance with Clause of the specification. The average efficacy of the samples is 46.0lm/W All of the luminaires have a colour rendition >80 as required in accordance with Clause of the specification. The average beam intensity of the lamps is 325.8cd and the average beam angle is The Luminaires were operated at the 350mA driver setting. Page 2 of 10

5 RISK ASSESSMENT OPTICAL RADIATION Two luminaires were measured for spectral irradiance in accordance with the EST LED Luminaire Requirements V2.0 Clause ; using a double monochromator. A test voltage 240V was used. Page 5 of 10

6 RISK ASSESSMENT OPTICAL RADIATION (continued) Spectral Irradiance The luminaires were measured to determine the Actinic UV Hazard exposure limit for the unprotected skin or eye in accordance with EN 62471:2006 Section 4.3 Note: Spectral irradiance measurements are carried out at a distance which produces an illuminance of 500 lux, (the set distance of the luminaire from the entrance optic shall be 200mm.) The Spectral irradiance measurements were carried out at the minimum distance of 200mm where an illuminance of approximately 8,900lux was recorded. The shortest period of time to reach the 8-hour exposure limit of 30 J m -2 was 34.1hrs. The maximum UV-A irradiance, E UVA, measured was 1.08 mwm -2 which is below the 10 Wm -2 limit for exposure times greater than 1000s (~16mins). Page 6 of 10
