Maximum Likelihood estimatio (sectio 9.1): Select the parameter that makes the observed data most likely. i.e. maximize the probability of obtaiig the data at had. Hypothesis testig: A ukow parameter takes a fiite umber of values. Oe wats to fid the best hypothesis based o the data.
