2 Executive Summary During the past quarter, Northern Uranium has made progress at the Gardiner-Tanami Project and on the Rare Earth Portfolio. The company continues to work towards the upcoming drilling program at the Gardiner-Tanami Project through successful completion of an aboriginal heritage survey and flora and fauna surveys. Detailed geological mapping is underway to finalise the drilling program. The rare earths portfolio has been enhanced through the successful completion of the John Galt due diligence with the finalization of the decision to proceed. At the Browns Range Project, a reconnaissance field program was completed in the June Quarter with a number of new mineralised zones identified; assay results are pending. Corporately, the company held a general meeting on 2 June 2010 to approve various share and option allocations to Board and Executive with all resolutions carried. The company announced on the 2 nd of June 2010 that Mr. Robert Hair has resigned at non-executive director and expressed our appreciation for the valuable contribution that Bob has made as a Director and a Company Secretary. OPERATIONS Gardiner-Tanami Project Exploration work completed during the June quarter has seen the commencement of field activities in preparation for the drilling program proposed for later in the year. The field camp has been mobilized to site and is set up just south of the Soma prospect area. Aboriginal and Native Title An aboriginal heritage survey was completed in May after being delayed for a month due to rain. All areas of work were cleared for the stated purpose. Environmental An environmental survey (flora and fauna) has been completed in the areas of proposed drilling. The final report of the survey has been received together with an Environmental Management Plan (EMP). A Program of Work (POW) application has been finalized and submitted to WA Department of Mines and Petroleum (DMP) in July. Historical Data compilation and interpretation A compilation of the historical drilling data at The Don prospect has been completed. Data has been formatted for import into Geosoft software which has been used to construct new cross-sections and interpretations. Further interpretation of The Don historical drilling data has produced the structural interpretation shown in Figure 1 below. The section overview of The Don area shows the different offsets of the unconformity between the Gardiner Sandstone and the Killi Killi Formation related to the Don Faults (see Figure 1) and the location of the two best historical drill hole intersections (BIR 1 and BPDO19). 2

Such deposits are typically formed by the mixing of oxidised basinal uranium-bearing brines, at or near an unconformity, and reduced basement fluids, associated with distinctive basement rocks (such as graphitic metapelites) within fault structures / zones of brecciation, where redox reactions favour the deposition of high grade uranium mineralization. It is postulated that a similar structural system also occurs at the Soma prospect. Future Work Work in the September quarter will be focused on the preparation for, and the commencement of the proposed RC drilling program. Geological and structural mapping will be completed in the priority drill target areas of the Don, Soma, Oracle and Mt.Mansbridge, as well as lower priority prospects such as the Deva which are not proposed for drilling this year. Browns Range Rare Earth Project Previous sampling completed by Northern s strategic alliance partner, Afmeco Mining and Exploration Pty Limited ( Afmex ) and historical exploration completed by PNC Exploration while exploring for uranium in the 1980s, identified xenotime mineralisation within hydrothermal quartz veins and quartz breccias. The recently completed field program was designed to further investigate these high-grade xenotime occurrences, outline their extent and identify new target areas. 3

4 A total of 59 rock chip samples were collected from the Browns Range area, with 11 returning assays with TREE+Y greater than 1% and up to a maximum of 7.95% TREE+Y (see table below). Sampling was focused on three separate target areas (see Figure 2), one of which had already been identified (Gambit), while the other two are newly discovered zones (Wolverine and Area 5 North). No sampling was carried out at the original Area 5 Prospect, but a ground radiometric survey was completed. Geologically, the project area is dominated by arkosic sediments, minor conglomerates and non-outcropping ultramafics (interpreted from aeromagnetics). Based on the results highlighted in the table above and the latest Rare Earth prices for oxide FOB China, the range of value of the Brown Range xenotime mineralisation from the above table is US$547 per tonne to US$5,727 per tonne. This is largely due to HREE being over ~70% of all REE in samples. Petrology studies on rock chip samples from the area confirm the presence of xenotime within quartz veins. The xenotime is relatively coarse-grained, typically in the range of microns with grain groups up to 3mm in length. Details of the sampling and mapping at each prospect are as follows: Gambit Prospect Xenotime mineralisation was previously identified by Afmex regional reconnaissance sampling as part of their Gardiner-Tanami uranium exploration program. Follow-up sampling has identified a xenotime mineralized quartz breccia zone trending east-west, at least 200m in strike length. Rock 4

5 chip samples of the quartz breccia assayed up to 2.63% TREE+Y including up to 2.30% Total HREE (THREE) +Y. Wolverine Prospect This is a newly identified zone of high-grade mineralisation located approximately 900m north of the Gambit Prospect. Although limited in outcrop extent, the mineralisation is very high-grade with rock chip results up 7.95% TREE+Y including up to 7.06% THREE+Y. Xenotime mineralisation is associated within an approximately east-west trending quartz vein in a sicified arkosic unit. The mineralisation is open to the west along strike where it is potentially obscured by soil cover. Area 5 North At Area 5 PNC Exploration reported quartz-xenotime veins with extremely high grade results up to 16% yttrium, and 12% HREE. Recent sampling has been focused on a newly recognized mineralised area 500m to north of PNC s mineralisation, where xenotime mineralisation has been identified within a series of east-west trending structures. This mineralisation is separate to that identified by PNC, who were focused on a very high-grade mineralised quartz vein. Mineralisation at Area 5 North is associated with narrow quartz veins within an arkose host and significantly, xenotime also occurs finely disseminated within the host arkose unit. Further work Detailed soil sampling has recently been completed over the three aforementioned prospect areas, and samples will shortly be submitted for analysis. Results from this sampling will determine the extent of an initial drill program which is proposed for commencement in the December quarter. Prior to the commencement of drilling, further more detailed geological mapping and sampling will be undertaken in the target areas. 6 Figure 3 Browns Range Project Outcropping xenotime mineralisation at Area 5 North Prospect John Galt Rare Earth Project During the quarter the company completed due diligence and signed a formal sale and purchase agreement with Arnhem Resources Pty Ltd ( Arnhem ) for the Option to purchase the John Galt project under the terms announced on 9 April The John Galt Project is located in the Kimberley region of Western Australia about 28km south of Warmun and 35km from the Great Northern Highway. It covers an area of 65km² within tenement application E80/4298 held by Arnhem Resources Pty Ltd. The John Galt Project is complementary to the Company s existing Browns Range Project with a similar style of mineralisation and composition of HREE. Option Agreement Under the terms of the agreement with Arnhem, Northern Uranium has the right for a four year period to acquire 100% interest in the project. Northern Uranium has completed the Option to Purchase agreement with a cash payment of $25,000. Upon granting of the tenement to Arnhem, Northern Uranium will also issue Arnhem 500,000 unlisted options with a three year exercise period at either 25c or at a 43% premium to the 5 Day VWAP prior to the date of issue, whichever is greater. Should Northern Uranium proceed to purchase, the final consideration comprises; Cash payment of $250,000 Issue of NTU ordinary shares to the value of $500,000 1% Net Smelter Return Royalty on all minerals on the tenement A work program for the John Galt project will be added to Northern Uranium s proposed exploration program at the Browns Range HREE project. Mineralisation at the John Galt project has a similar style of mineralisation and REE distribution to that at Browns Range. On-ground exploration at John Galt will commence as soon as the tenement is granted, which is expected to be in the December quarter. 6

7 John Galt HREE Project Geology and Exploration The John Galt Prospect was discovered in the 1970s following airborne radiometric surveys. Initial followup work identified three distinct HREE mineralised zones aligned in a NNE orientation. The three zones are approximately 600m apart, but most of the exploration work has been focused on only one of these zones ( Main Zone ), which returned the most encouraging assay results. According to historical reports, rock chip sampling of the other two mineralised zones returned assays between 4.5% and 17.8% Total Rare Earth Oxides (TREO). In 1973, nine diamond holes were drilled on one section at the Main Zone, for a total of 503m. No drilling was undertaken on the other two mineralised zones and no further drilling or field work has been carried out on the deposit since this time. The dominant ore mineral within the John Galt deposit is xenotime, a phosphate of yttrium and rare earths.the xenotime mineralisation is hosted by quartz veins within a quartz sandstone of the Lower Proterozoic Red Rock Beds. The mineralisation is located close to the junction of two regional faults, the NNE-trending Halls Creek Fault and the NE-trending Osmond Fault (see Figure 4 below). The deposit consists of a system of quartz-xenotime veins of probable hydrothermal origin, trending NNE to NE. The fault structure associated with the mineralisation extends for 9km, originating in the south at the John Galt Prospect and trending NNE for 6km, then swinging NNW for 3km. The Gardiner-Tanami project including the Gardner Range joint venture comprises 10,600km2 on the WA-NT border, 200km southeast of Halls Creek. Exploration is focused on high grade unconformityrelated uranium deposits, with a number of high priority targets identified. The Gardiner-Tanami area is compared favourably with the Alligator Rivers region in the NT which hosts the Ranger mine (Australia s largest operating uranium mine), and the Athabasca Basin in Canada, host to the world s highest-grade unconformity-related uranium deposits.
