The Leader in Landscape Solutions
Emergency Action Plan Hurricane Preparedness Go To Mainscape.com For More Information!
Purpose: To provide the Federation at Kings Point and their residents an informative guide to how Mainscape will operate and respond in an Emergency Situation including but not limited to Hurricanes, Tornados, or severe storms. Community landscape material that has been comprised creating an unsafe environment will be addressed in this plan.
Safety Measures: Once an Emergency Situation arises, Mainscape will assess what the current weather conditions are to determine if the conditions are safe to dispatch emergency personnel to the effected areas. It is Mainscape s policy that until the severe weather has dissipated, no Response Teams will be dispatched. Once conditions dictate, Mainscape s First Responder Team will evaluate the conditions throughout the Community and determine next steps of action.
Safety Measures: The clean up efforts will be prioritized as outlined in this Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and will be communicated to the Federation Board and FirstService Management. All services that are not a part of the Landscape Maintenance Agreement will be noted needing prior authorization.
Response Timeline: 1. Immediate response from Mainscape s 24 Hr Customer Care Center via First Service (813) ; 24 hrs 2. Once the storm passes and conditions allow for Mainscape to dispatch, First Responder Team will begin assessing current damages to determine appropriate course of action. Mobilization Response: Within 2 hrs. 3. Service Crews will be notified to report to the affected areas with the necessary equipment to ensure adequate access to the roadways for EMS. Go To Mainscape.com For More Information!
Priority for Services: 1. Major Roadways and Entryways throughout the Federation a. Collector Roads b. Secondary Roads c. Tertiary Roads Kings Point Map will be highlighted to reflect road designations.
Priority for Services: 1. Community Storm Drains & Sidewalks Storm drains are a major concern due to the risk of flooding conditions. All storm drains will be assessed with the necessary actions taken to make sure landscape material is not blocking storm drain openings. Sidewalks critical for accessing dwellings will be prioritized above common area recreational sidewalks. *Damage that exposes the common areas to additional harm or safety concerns will be addressed before cosmetic damages.
Priority for Services: 3. Personal Property a. Driveways b. Carports c. Roofs Damage that exposes the residents to additional harm or safety concerns will be addressed before cosmetic damages.
Priority for Services: 4. Restoration/Re-planting of damaged plant material to minimize plant loss. 5. Trim and remove hazardous damaged tree limbs that haven t fallen but pose a safety concern.

SEVERE WEATHER AND NATURAL DISASTERS Tornado: Peak Season Florida (March May) When a warning is issued by sirens or other means, seek inside shelter. Consider the following: Remain sheltered until the tornado threat is announced to be over Once a tornado watch/warning has been issued: Mainscape and the Community Management Team will be monitoring weather stations in preparation for a emergency call from the Community If a tornado should happen to touch down : Mainscape should be contacted via the emergency care line at First Service (813) and the local team will be notified by their Customer Service Department.
SEVERE WEATHER AND NATURAL DISASTERS Hurricane: (June November) The nature of a hurricane provides for more warning than other natural and weather disasters. A hurricane watch issued when a hurricane becomes a threat to a coastal area. A hurricane warning is issued when hurricane winds of 74 mph or higher, or a combination of dangerously high water and rough seas, are expected in the area within 24 hours. Once a hurricane watch/warning has been issued: Mainscape and the Community Management Team will be monitoring weather stations in preparation for a emergency call from the Community. In the unfortunate situation when the Community experiences hurricane conditions: Immediately after the Hurricane conditions dissipate whereby Mainscape can safely dispatch our First Response Team, Mainscape will begin to follow our protocol in assessing the priorities for the Community.
