2 Class Notes: Tool Box Climate Factor Notes Picture 1. Elevation As the elevation, temperature and climate gets colder. 2. Mountain Ranges - Warmer, less humid - Colder, more humid 3. Ocean Currents 4. Planetary Wind Belts either transport warm or cold water and influence climate. Ex: SW Winds Winds blow storms in a curved direction due to the. 5. Latitude As the latitude and you get closer to the Poles, temperature and climate gets colder. ( closer to the equator higher angle of insolation) ( closer to the Poles lower angle of insolation) 6. Near Water (Coastal) vs. Far Away from Water (Inland) The closer you are to water, the more temperatures are. Winters and summers are. The further away from water, the more temperatures are.
