Showers favored MN, WI, northeast IA, northeast MO, IL, northern IN, north central OH, and southwest MI over the weekend. Amounts were 0.25 to 1.5, locally 2.5, with 60% coverage. Showers should favor southern and eastern areas today, then favor far southern and northwestern areas on Tuesday. Showers should build across western areas on Wednesday and Thursday, then spread into eastern areas on Friday. Amounts will be 0.25 to 1.5, locally 2.5, with 95% coverage. Wetter and cooler conditions in southern and eastern areas this week will improve conditions for corn and soybeans. The 6-10 day outlook is drier in central areas. PAST 72 HOURS: Showers favored Minnesota, Wisconsin, northeastern Iowa, northeastern Missouri, Illinois, northern Indiana, north central Ohio, and southwestern Michigan over the weekend. 5 DAY FORECAST: Showers should favor southern and eastern areas today, then favor far southern and northwestern areas on Tuesday. Showers should build across western areas on Wednesday and Thursday, then spread into eastern areas on Friday. CROP IMPACT: Showers in central and northwestern areas over the weekend improved moisture, but dry and warm conditions in southern areas stressed corn and soybeans a bit.
