1 1 INSTRUCTIONS FOR ATTACHING THE NORDIC PLOW TO THE ACTION TRACKCHAIR Nordic Auto Plow LLC is pleased to provide a plow blade that can be used with your Action Trackchair year round. We are not affiliated with Action Trackchair; however, we took extreme caution in designing this plow so it would be chair friendly We have pre-assembled the plow as much as possible to help you get on your way faster. The steps that follow will instruct you on how to finish the assembly. Before getting started, we ask that you watch the following video to see how the plow attaches once the assembly is completed. The video will give you a better perspective on the finished product. We know reading instructions are usually when all else fails, but we ask that you please read the instructions, tips and warranty to avoid any problems or confusion. 3 3 STEP 1: Remove the side plastic caps from the support tubes. Slide the rear mounting plate into the tubes, insuring our rounded tube goes into to the upper support. Repeat on other side STEP 2: Place the small bracket over the rear mounting plate, line up the holes, and tighten the bolt. Repeat on the other side.

4 4 STEP 3 A: Position our bracket with the bolts toward the front of the unit as shown. STEP 3 B: Rest the support bracket over the front bolt heads as shown. No need to remove original bolts.

5 5 STEP 3 C: Place bracket with bolts under the frame and attach to the support bracket as shown. If your frame doesn't look like this image, go to STEP 3 E. STEP 3 D: Attach the locking nuts and tighten securely. Repeat all steps on the other side of chair.

6 6 STEP 3 E: NOTE: For newer unit, the holes on the plate are not necessary. However, we now have a right and left plate with bolts that must be placed above the frame channel as shown below to keep it from sliding down. STEP 4: Bolt the power arm onto the back of the blade as shown. The center hole is for a 37 wide chair use the outer holes if your chair is wider. The support arms should be closest to the bottom edge of the plow as shown. (Note that the plow blade is reversible)

7 7 STEP 5: Attach the blade assembly to the chair as shown using the quick release U-Bolts You re almost there! Center the Nordic Plow so each power arm is the same distance from either side of the track. Step 6 A: Measure the distance from the support plate to the inside hole this should be around 3 ½ inches on both sides of the chair if centered.

8 8 STEP 6 B: Adjust the nut on the spacer bolt so that it is the same measurement taken in Step 6A. Step 6 C: Insert the spacer bolt into the power arm and securely fasten

9 9 Step 6 D: Reattach the power arm to each side of the chair using the quick release U-Bolts. There should be a little space between the spacer bolt and the plate on both sides of the chair. Readjust the nut on the spacer bolt if it is too tight or too loose. Step 7: Lower the chair so the foot rest is touching the ground. Attach the lifting chain over the spacer bolt and fasten in place with lock nut.

10 10 Hook the upper part to the support chair to the J-Hook on the arm as shown. Step 8: Attach the chains to the snap-clip and then clip to the lower loop on the blade. Secure the other end of the chain to the power arm to a u- bolt on the inside corner as shown. Repeat on the other side the chain should be taught on each side, but a little slack on either side isn t a problem.

11 11 TIPS to Attach to your Action Trackchair Now that you ve attached the Nordic Plow to the Action Track Chair, we have a few steps to follow for proper operation: 1. Position the chair so you are in the middle of the power arms, approximately 1 foot behind the plow. 2. Always place the chair in the lowest position so the foot rest is touching the ground when you are either attaching or removing the plow. 3. Power down your chair (turn it off now!). You can easily bump the controls of the chair when you lean over to grab the power arms or lifting the chain. The chair should have no power during the attachment or removing process. 4. Hook the lifting chains on each side of the unit to the upper arms using the retractable magnet wand. Use the link you can hook to the J-hook without lifting the power arm. Spin the J Bolt so the chain won t fall off. 5. Tilt the chair back until the foot rest is approximately 4 inches from the ground this should help line up the power arm with the back pivot bracket. 6. Insert the guide into the back pivot post this should make lining up the power arm with the post easy to accomplish.

12 12 7. Once fully attached, remove the guide, then insert the quick release u-bolt through the pivot post. Then power up the unit, tilt the chair back, and you re ready to enjoy the Nordic Plow! Use the Nordic Plow to clear your driveway and sidewalks of snow, but it s so much more than a snow plow. Dairy farmers use it to push cattle feed on a daily basis; push mulch and leaves when doing yard work; knock down reeds and weeds when going hunting in the fall. Let us know if you find other uses for the plow. 13 13 NORDIC AUTO PLOW LLC TRACK CHAIR PLOW ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY For twelve months from the date of purchase, Nordic Auto Plow LLC (Nordic Plow) warrants its products to be free of defects in workmanship and material to the original purchaser. If a defect exists on the plow blade, you will notice it before use. We understand that if any metal components are defected, it will require usage to discover them. Our plow blade is used by homeowners, farmers, hunters and ranchers in the most demanding of applications and environments. Under these conditions and over time, the Track Chair Plow may experience normal wear and tear which is not considered a "defect" and is not covered by this warranty. Blade breakage during use due to excessive force or weight applied to the plow is not considered a "defect" and is also not covered by this warranty. We are not affiliated with Action Trackchair it any manner and usage of this plow may affect their warranty. How you can get service: To obtain the benefit of this warranty, deliver via prepaid transportation the defective product to Nordic Plow,. The warranted product will be repaired or replaced, at Nordic Plow's option, and returned at no charge. Call customer service at PLOW (7569) for assistance if you purchased the plow from a dealer. What is not covered: Nordic Plow's obligations under this warranty are limited to the following guidelines: This warranty does not cover units that have been altered, modified or damaged due to: normal wear, improper maintenance, and/or improper use. This warranty does not cover surface scratches to the plow, which is considered normal wear, or blade breakage due to extreme force or weight. This warranty does not cover any damage that may occur to the Action Trackchair pushing this plow. This warranty is not transferable or assignable to subsequent purchasers. This warranty does not cover liability for damage to property, or injury to, or death of any person arising out of the operation, maintenance or use of the covered product. Once a plow is used, it cannot be resold. Thus a restocking fee equal to 25% of the purchase price, plus applicable freight charges, will be assessed for any products returned to the place of purchase, except for those unopened and unused. EXCEPT AS STATE ABOVE, NORDIC AUTO PLOW LLC MAKES NO OTHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES. THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE LIMITED IN DURATION FOR TWELVE MONTHS FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LAST, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. ANY LIABILITY FOR INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE ARISING FROM THE FAILURE OF NORDIC AUTO PLOW LLC TO COMPLY WITH THIS WARRANTY OR ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY IS EXCLUDED. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT THE PURCHASE PRICE CHARGED IS BASED UPON THE LIMITIATIONS CONTAINED IN THE WARRANY SET OUT ABOVE. SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
