1 Station Maintenance and Calibration Report ABRAHAM LINCOLN BIRTHPLACE NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE March 13, 2007 National Park Service Gaseous Pollutant Monitoring Program Prepared by Air Resource Specialists, Inc. under Contract C CALIBRATION SUMMARY Park: Abe Lincoln Birthplace Nat'l Historic Site Service Date: 03/13/07 Air quality site: Near Visitor's Center Field Specialist: Mike Bagby Subject: Seasonal start-up Site Operator: Jenny Jones All site visit and calibration forms are attached, detailing the pre- and post-maintenance calibrations. Pre-Maintenance Calibration Summary: All sensors except for the rain guage were within specifications. Maintenance Activity Summary: O3 A replacement 2B ozone analyzer was installed during this visit, and a pre-zero test was performed with the as-found charcoal canister and zero tubing. A final zero-air calibration check was performed after a new charcoal canister and new tubing were installed. These one-minute updates are documented on the calibration forms. This machine was turned off, until May 1, 2007, when the operator has been instructed to turn the machine back on again for the season. WS/WD Sensors were replaced with rebuilt and calibrated units (standard). AT/RH The AT/RH sensor was calibration checked, and found within correct tolerances. A new sensor was installed during this visit. A final calibration check was also performed. SR A calibration check showed this sensor was within correct tolerances. No adjustments were made during this visit. PRECIP A calibration check was performed, showing this rain gauge was incorrectly adjusted. The tipping mechanism was inspected and adjusted before a final calibration check. Final calibration values were within correct tolerances. Post-Maintenance Calibration Summary: All systems were within specifications Sharp Point Drive, Suite E Fort Collins, CO Telephone:
2 ADDITIONAL NOTES AND OBSERVATIONS Station Operator Jenny Jones is the current station operator and was briefly trained during the station visit. She has agreed to turn on the ozone monitor on May 1, 2007, to begin the summer ozone season. Monitoring Shelter This is a portable tripod system, with a solar panel array, storage batteries, and Orbcomm satellite transmitter Sharp Point Drive, Suite E Fort Collins, CO Telephone:
