1 Coatings for CO Laser Optics ULO Optics is the leading European manufacturer of CO laser optics, a position it has held for more than two decades. The optics manufactured by ULO Optics are often used in high power CO laser systems and ULO's optics have always been designed for such environments. Apart from optimum design and manufacturing standards, the key to the success of any optic relates to the coating performance. ULO Optics is pleased to announce the launch of optics with very low absorption characteristics. These exciting new products are known as UltraLO coated optics. This new range of products sits alongside the well established array of available coatings ranging from anti-reflection coatings (AR) to partial reflectors for use as beam splitters at specific incidence angles (typically 45 degrees) or for use in cavity as rear mirrors or output couplers. Also available, our state of the art maximum reflectance and phase retarder coatings for use on Copper and Silicon.. UltraLO AR UltraLO optics are specially fabricated for use in the growing family of CO lasers with output powers in excess of 4kW. ULO Optics Typical absorption on AR/AR coated lenses with an edge thickness of 7.4mm is <0.15%. 1 UltraLO coated ZnSe lenses SuperMax TM TM The SuperMax coating is suitable for both Copper and Silicon. It provides maximum reaflectivity. This coating is resistant to UV radiation. Also available on Silicon Carbide. On copper it can withstand high power and is often used in pulsed and continuous wave cavities. 7 UltraLO Ultra-low absorption lenses for high power CO laser systems

8 Low absorption, high power UltraLO coated lenses from Umicore Laser Optics are designed for in high power systems where optimal performance is required. UltraLO coated parts absorb less energy then conventionally coated lenses, offering a range of benefits to the user. UltraLO absorption UltraLO coated lenses offer a market leading absorption figure of less than 0.15%. Maintained ultra low absorption Hygroscopic materials have been eliminated from the coating design enabling UltraLO lenses to maintain low absorption in storage and in high humidity environments. High performance UltraLO lenses will handle the same high power as conventional lenses but with less optical distortion and a smaller focal length shift. Longer lasting lenses The low absorption of UltraLO coated lenses can lead to longer lens lifetimes, giving improved uptime and fewer purchases of consumables Red aiming beam compatible UltraLO lenses are compatible with red aiming beams.
