I developed and ran an hourlong lab to measure the mass of the Earth using projectile motion for five groups of students. Thanksgiving Observing at Arecibo November 2014 and 2015 Travelled to the Arecibo Observatory in Puerto Rico with two different Union College students each year and taught them how to observe using the radio telescope, then supervised their observing over the course of a week. We also worked alongside local faculty and students from the University of Puerto Rico. Composting at Union College Fall 2014-Present Organized the composting efforts for the physics department at Union College, making us the first department at Union to begin composting. This included educating faculty and students in composting, and removing garbage mixed in during public talks. Dia de Ciencias February 2014 An event for children in elementary school and their families to engage in hands-on science activities, organized by the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers and aimed primarily at Latino families but open to the general public. I made galaxy models with children and taught them about supernovae. Undergraduate ALFALFA Workshop January A week-long workshop at Arecibo for undergraduates working at colleges in the ALFALFA consortium.
