Leading the work on the theory and simulations of the radio pulse emission from ultra high energy cosmic rays at UCLA. ANITA-II data analysis, working with the UCLA students on the neutrino and cosmic ray data processing and MC simulations. Visiting Scholar, April 2007 October 2007 Worked on the design and construction of the TOWER detector prototype for the TA experiment. Developed the data selection criteria for the HiRes UHECRs anisotropy study. Graduate Research Assistant / Research Associate, September 1997 May 2007 Proposed and developed a novel deconvolution technique to measure the p air inelastic cross-section at ultra high energies. Supervised graduate and undergraduate students working on the cosmic ray spectrum and composition analysis. Developed innovative methods and software for the Hires data analysis and MC simulations. Created a library of the MC simulated air showers that is still in use by the TA collaboration. Developed an algorithm and software to check some geometrical properties of the HiRes detector using a UV laser. Was the primary operator and on call expert of the HiRes stereo detector. Supervised new members of the collaboration during the detector operation. Coordinated the start of the HiRes detector operation at the beginning of each cycle. Was organizing and supervising the HiRes detector hardware repair campaigns. Responsible for the PMT testing and selection for the HiRes II. Collected the data for the FLASH experiment at SLAC. Contributed in the hardware design and the data processing for the FLASH experiment at SLAC. Research Assistant, May 1992 August 1996 Studied solar active regions in microwaves.
3 Calculated the optimal location for additional antennas to convert the RATAN-600 radio telescope into a 2D fast high resolution radio heliograph. Developed the data recovery algorithms for the radio astronomy observations. Teaching Experience Lecturer at UCLA. Taught three large classes for the first year undergraduate students (Physics 1 series) and an elementary particle laboratory for the senior physics majors (Physics 180F). Teaching assistant at the Department of Physics of the University of Utah. Taught different undergraduate courses and graduate laboratories. Instructor assistant teaching physics labs to freshmen students at St.-Petersburg State Technical University. Developed computerized circuit analysis system as a part of the electronics lab class at St.-Petersburg State Technical University.
