1 Addendum No: Two (2) Project: Gillis Elementary Upgrades & Improvements Phase I Architect s Project No: MA1707 Date: January 24, 2018 To: All Plan Holders Introduction The following items shall be considered part of the Contract Documents and shall be included in same when Construction Contract is executed. Changes made by Addenda shall take precedence over original Documents. Any changes which may affect construction or proper installation of materials, equipment or fixtures, not specifically mentioned in this Addendum, should be brought to the attention of the Architect before submitting bid. Otherwise, such conditions, if found later to exist, must be worked out in an acceptable manner without additional cost to the Owner. General Contractors are hereby advised to call to the attention of all subcontractors, changes which may affect their work. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum by inserting its number and date in the proper blank appearing on the Bid Form. Failure to do so may disqualify the Bidder. ARCHITECTURAL/STRUCTURAL/CIVIL General 1) See attached Pre-Bid Sign-In sheet. 2) Project is not federally funded (see Instructions to Bidders Article 10 ). 3) Finish Flooring at Gymnasium 1006 noted as GF shall be Fluid Applied Resilient Flooring as specified in Section ) Clarification of Fly Ash Requirements: A Maximum of 15% Fly Ash will be allowed in all Concrete Paving & Cast-In-Place Concrete. 5) Contractor is responsible for providing any clips (minimum 16-gauge material) necessary for attachment of masonry anchors to purlins. 6) CMU reinforcement at all locations is to be ladder type. Remove any reference to truss type reinforcement and replace with ladder type reinforcement. 7) A satisfactory pre-pour inspection of the grade beam reinforcement for the Gymatorium must be performed by the Engineer prior to scheduling of the concrete pour. Provide Engineer with a minimum 0f 24 hours notice ahead of any inspection request. 8) Fire Extinguishers & Fire Extinguisher Cabinets: There shall be a total of 4 FEs & FECs for the Gymatorium, 1 FE & FEC for the Library, and 1 FE & FEC for the Administration Building Ryan St., Suite B Lake Charles, LA FAX dmoss@mossarchitects.com

Details of this area are established by Architectural drawings. 31) SHEET S2.1 FRAMING AND CMU DETAILS a) Note No. 2 in Concrete Notes is hereby replaced by the following note: Concrete at grade beams (only) shall develop a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 4000 psi. All other concrete shall develop a minimum 28-day compressive strength of 3000 psi. b) The canopies only anchor bolt is deleted from 7 and the embedded length of the wind column only is changed to 3-11 (to match length indicated in 3/S1.0). 4 projection indicated remains as shown for a total anchor length of ) SHEET S3.0 FRAMING PLAN a) Metal Framing System Clarification: MECHANICAL i) The metal framing system will not be allowed to bear at any location on the existing roof structure except for the newly installed structural steel which will be provided per sheet S3.0. ii) The metal framing system designer/manufacturer is responsible for actual layout of the system. iii) Any additional structural steel support members required beyond what is shown on Sheet 3.0 by the metal framing system manufacturer will be at no additional cost to the Owner. iv) Any requested changes to the metal framing system support beams shall be reviewed and approved by the Architect/Engineer prior to submittal of shop drawings. v) Section marks referring to Sheet S1.2 shall be revised to Sheet S3.1. vi) Section mark referring to 2/S1.0 shall be revised to 2/S3.0. Modifications to the Project Manual 33) SECTION SPRINKLER SYSTEMS: Ref. 1.1: It is not mandatory that a flow test be performed prior to bid. However, the contractor shall perform a flow test in accordance with this section prior to completion and submittal of sprinkler system shop drawings. Modifications to the Drawings 34) SHEET FP1.1 FIRE PROTECTION SITE PLAN: If Alternate #2 is chosen to provide the Retractable Theater manufacturers listed in Specifications Section , the contractor shall provide automatic sprinkler protection to protect the retractable theater system in both the open and closed positions. 35) SHEET M1.1 MECHANICAL DEMOLITION PLANS: GC shall patch holes in existing walls where return air grilles are removed to match existing walls. 36) SHEET M1.4 MECHANICAL PLAN ADMINISTRATIVE BLDG ROOF: Ref. keynote #2: The contractor shall include balancing of the existing kitchen hood supply and exhaust fans in accordance with the existing kitchen hood name plate data. Verify balancing requirements in field. Provide new belts and pulleys for each fan as required for balancing. (Assume approximately 5400 CFM exhaust and 4320 CFM supply in absence of name plate data). 37) SHEET M2.1 MECHANICAL SCHEDULES: AHU-5A and AHU-5B shall each have 14.4 KW heating coils (maximum 15 KW) in lieu of 18 KW. Modifications to the Drawings 38) SHEET E1.1 ELECTRICAL SITE PLAN: Lighting Fixtures type G1 on exterior of building shall have wet location UL listing. 39) SHEET E2.1 ELECTRICAL PLANS COMPUTER LAB AND LIBRARY a) It is the intent of the contract documents all existing lighting fixtures be disconnected, removed, and disposed of to accommodate new lighting systems. (Existing circuitry may be reused where applicable). b) All existing devices occurring in walls scheduled for demolition shall be disconnected & removed. Power devices downstream requiring maintained services shall be refed properly. c) All surface raceway in existing Library shall be disconnected and removed. Power circuits may be re-used for new spaces label electrical panel directories properly. d) Disconnect & remove any existing Data Network Cable and Coax which is not able to be re-used to serve new devices. No cable shall be left abandoned above the suspended ceilings. All reused cable shall be tested (per specs) and replaced with new where non-conforming, at no cost to the owner. e) Provide and install proper electrical services and comm cables for ActivBoards including presenter wall-plates at teacher s desk in each Computer Lab and Media Room. Verify if remote ceiling projector is provided furnish 120v receptacle in ceiling and proper comm cables to projector location. f) Relocate WAP from New Office 1023B to New Computer Lab 1022B.

Re-install W.A.P. on new drop ceiling center of room. i) Ref. Elec. Service for New AHU5A, 5B AND Associated Cond. Units: Exist Panel J contains a 125/3 C.B. with #1 conductors run to a gutter in Existing Mech Rm. This gutter may remain for re-use. Remove the 200 Amp d.s. Extend 3-#1, #6G in 1 ¼ c overhead to a new gutter on Southside of room with 3-60A3PFDS- one for each AHU and one to subfeed a Nema 3R gutter at New cu yard. Provide 2-30A3PFDS at each cu. j) Disconnect & remove exist striplights in Exist Mech/Elec Room West of New Computer Lab 1022A. Provide & install 3-new Type C LED strips. Tie to exist circuitry. k) Ref Keynote E13 Once Exist A/C equip has been disconnected, remove all feeder conduit, cable, disconnect switches, etc. associated with each piece of A/C equip. 40) SHEET E2.2 LIGHTING PLAN GYMATORIUM a) Gymnasium Lighting Plan: Contactor for control of light poles shall be 4 pole, SPST, in 3R enclosure controlled by dusk-to-dawn photocell for ON/OFF operation. It shall operate on 120 volts with appropriate coil. b) Lighting Fixture Schedule i) Change Spec for G to: GE DI-6R 20 Series (2000 lumens). ii) Change Spec for G1 to: GE DI-6R 20 with wall wash Reflector (2000 lumens). iii) Delete requirement for Time delay feature on type YG. iv) Delete requirement for LED Lamps on type Y. Standard factory Lamping is acceptable. v) Fixture Type LPA shall provide Lumens with Type II distribution/70 CRI/40K/Color. vi) Fixture Type LPB shall provide Lumens with Type V distribution/70 CRI/40K/Color. vii) Poles shall be straight square powder coated steel in lieu of round. 41) SHEET E3.1 ELECTRICAL DETAILS, LEGEND, AND SCHEDULES: Electrical Riser Diagram - Provide & install a new Current Technology Surge Protection Device at Panel DP.
