16 Wen Shen 16 Outreach Activities and Community Affairs: I organized a Math Puzzle Club at Radio Park Elementary School for third grade students. The Club ran on a bi-weekly schedule for an academic year, in I served in the Math Review Committee for the SCASD (State College Area School District) to review mathematics curriculum for K-12 education, spring-summer I was a panelist of the Educational Night discussion at the Charter School Young Scholars of Pennsylvania, February 28, On July 24, 2013, I gave presentations to the 2 classes in the Millennium Scholars program, presenting Mathematics Department, in particular our REU programs, and opportunities to continue to a graduate study. On September 13, 2013, I gave a presentation at the Freshman Seminar, talking about open problems in mathematics, the importance of equal opportunity for females, and undergraduate research opportunities in applied math. On January 30, 2015, I gave a presentation to the Graduate Seminar, on applied math, in particular, the research group on Partial Differential Equations at the Math Department. On February 23, 2015, I gave a presentation at the Accepted Science Student Program of Penn State University, to help recruiting bright potential students to Penn State University.
