1 Queueng Networks II Network Performance Davd Tpper Assocate Professor Graduate Telecommuncatons and Networkng Program Unversty of Pttsburgh Sldes 6 Networks of Queues Many communcaton systems must be modeled as a set of nterconnected queues whch s termed a queueng network. Systems modeled by queueng networks can roughly be grouped nto four categores Open networks losed networks Networks wth populaton constrants (also called Loss Networks) Mxed network 1
