14 ن "The impact of Incentives on improving the performance of the Employees In the Public Sector institutions In Jordan" By Ghazi hasan odeh alhalaybeh Supervisor Prof Dr. Mohammed alnoaemi Abstract This study aimed to investigate the impact of incentives on improving the performance of the employees of Greater Amman Municipality. A Stratified random sample,which was chosen, consisted of 150 employees of managers, heads of departments and administrators in Greater Amman Municipality representing 33% of the population of the study which consisted of 449 employees. To achieve the objectives of the study, the analytical descriptive approach and SPSS were used. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The level of the financial and moral incentives was low. 2. The level of the social incentives and the performance was medium. 3. There was a strong linear correlation between using incentives and improving the performance of the Greater Amman Municipality s employees. 4. There were significant differences due to the sex variable in favor of males and to the job title variable in favor of head of department and to years of experience variable in favor of those who have little experience. And there were no significant differences attributed to the scientific qualification. In light of these results, the researcher recommended the following : 1. The necessity to support, enhance and guide the positive work relation between the employees( official and non official) an away that is consistent with the objectives of the Amman Municipality. 2. Strengthen the theme of team work as a moral motivation to get to the planned levels of performance.
