Read the book and get an insight into the life of an orphaned boy Pip and see how affection, loyalty and conscience prove to be more important than social advancement, wealth and class. WRITING: After reading the book, write the character sketch of Pip or Abel Magwitch (the convict) following the instructions given below: The character sketch should include: Physical features of the character Character s personality Their likes and dislikes Their family What you like or dislike about them Use A4 size sheets. Use drawings/ pictures related to the story. WRITING: Make a bookmark with an inspirational proverb written on it. Use handmade paper. Decorate the bookmark. VOCABULARY BUILDING AND GRAMMAR PRACTICE: Write 25 idioms with their meanings. Write the three forms (present, past &past participle) of any 50 verbs. (e.g.give,gave,given). (e.g.good,better,best) (e.g. fast, faster, fastest) The homework mentioned above should be done in the English Grammar notebook LISTENING: Watch the NEWS AT 9 everyday on any of your favourite news channels. Prepare a speech for two minutes on any one issue that you found interesting. Hope you enjoy reading the novel and working on the project.
