31 Conclusion Fixed-Point Implementation of a SC-MMSE-FD equalizer has been studied Models were derived to determine representations for all symbols within the equalizer I No fixed-point simulations are required The accuracy of the models was verified using simulated Fixed-Point implementations Furthermore, the equalizer was implemented in an FPGA IDE I Device utilization of state-of-the-art FPGAs is less than 8% 24
