2 Echoes from The Hill Southwestern State College Alumni Newsletter Volume 53, Number 2 W eatherford, Oklahoma O ctober, 1967 SouthwesternStateCollege W eatherford, Ok., October1, 1967 Dear Former Student: Please consider this a special invitation to attend the HOMECOMING activities here at Southwestern, Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14. We especially would like for you to attend the FORMER STUDENT' luncheon in the upper lounge and ballroom of the Memorial Student Center and the THIRTY-YEAR CLUB luncheon being held in the east dining room of the college cafeteria at 12 noon Saturday. Tickets foe these luncheons may be purchased at a down- town booth or a booth in the Student Center at a cost of $1.25 each. We expect a large crowd for this year's Homecoming. Therefore, the best way to insure fellowship and renew old acquaintances would be to attend one of these luncheons. By your participation in one of these meetings, you will be helping to build a stronger and more useful organization to contribute to the growth of the Former Students' Association and the organization of the THIRTY- YEAR CLUB. This can be fully realized by your attendance on this day. The theme for this year is: "Pride in Oklahoma--Pride in Southwestern." The highlights for Saturday, October 14, are as follows: Downtown Parade...10:00 a.m. Reunion of college lettermen...3:00-5:00 p.m. (Health and Physical Education Building) Football Game...7:30 p.m. (Bulldogs vs. Northeastern) Homecoming Dance...Immediately after game. (Student Center Ballroom) Open house will be held in all the building where you may visit depart- ments and dormitories to witness the tremendous growth of 4,500 students. Since the ball game will not be until 7:30 p.m. Saturday, you will have time Saturday afternoon to visit the various college departments. V ery truly yours, Ralph Crall President Former Students Association
