9 X-ray dispersion-less spectrograph Single photon detection technique : Large number of pixels in a CCD chip, a few laser shots (ideally one) are required to get an x-ray spectrum in a large energy interval, with a typical resolution well below 5 % in the energy range from 1 kev to a few tens of kev.
