The favourale area ratio (iston/iston rod) allows high claming forces already at relatively low oil ressures. Due to the sturdy swing mechanism the angle osition of the claming arm remains the same after a slight collision with the workiece during loading or unloading. lso a collision during the claming rocess is not critical. They can generate very high forces. The workiece, the fixture or the machine must e in the osition to comensate these forces. In the effective area of iston rod and claming arm there is the danger of crushing. The manufacturer of the fixture or the machine is oliged to rovide effective rotection devices. The swing clam has no overload rotection device. When mounting the claming arm, the claming arm or the hexagon socket in the iston have to e acked u for tightening and untightening the fixing nut. During loading and unloading of the fixture and during claming a collision with the claming arm has to e avoided. Remedy: Mount osition adator. Oerating conditions, tolerances and other data see data sheet.. Wier system The standard FKM wier has a high chemical resistance against most cooling and cutting fluids. The otional metallic wier rotects the FKM wier against mechanical damage due to ig or hot swarf. It consists of a radially floating wiing disk and a retaining disk. The metallic wier can e delivered already mounted ("M") or as an accessory for retrofitting (see age ). ttention! The metallic wier is not suitale for dry machining or minimum quantity lurication. lso in alications with very little grinding swarf, the standard FKM wier has a etter rotection effect. If there is any danger that small articles stick to the iston rod, the metallic wier disk can also e relaced y a hard lastic disk. Throttling of the flow rate flow rate throttling always has to e effected in the suly line to the swing clam. This avoids a ressure intensification and therey ressures exceeding 35 ar.
