6 The Metrology Light Source of the PTB Designed, built and operated by BESSY / HZB for the Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (national metrology institute) E = MeV I = single electrons - 200mA U = 48m Optimised for flexible low-alpha operation = THz source Used as a calculable radiation source for radiometry in the UV to EUV spectrum user operation starts 2008 (50h / week will be 80h/week from 2012 on) 6
