I the secod art we aalyzed the assocato betwee the effcecy solvg multlcatve comarso word roblems ad the tye of dagram roduced. Table 3 shows together the freueces of the success rate solvg multlcatve comarso word roblems ad buldg dagrams to them. We have obtaed that o sgfcat assocato betwee the varables that mae u the rows ad colums of table 3 that s to say betwee the success rate for solvg the multlcatve comarso word roblems ad the ablty of studets to draw dagrams although the degree of assocato betwee varables s ot very hgh Ph 0.7. I resose to the frst uesto we have obtaed that the studets dd ot use dagrams resose to the reuest that they solve the comarso roblems. Ths result leads us to coclude that multlcatve comarso does ot elct the use of vsual reresetato from the studets. More terestg s what we have obtaed for the secod uesto. The resoses obtaed to the reuest to draw a dagram show the studets lac of vsual terretato of the multlcatve comarso. romately 33% of the resoses do ot cota drawgs 39% are ualtatve drawgs ad oly 8% are uattatve dagrams that show the relatoshs betwee the data the roblem. The latter are the most terestg sce they reflect a reresetato of the relatosh comared wth schematc dagrams or uattatve. Wth the 8% of resoses that cluded a uattatve o schematc dagram the studets oly use rectagular ad crcular forms ad
