1 14 Technical Paper TG5 Abstract: With the development of industry research on drilling the printed circuit board in the world has intensified which includes drilling forces hole quality drill design wear and breakage of drill positional accuracy and dynamic performance of machine tool. The drilling is a complex hole forming operation due to meso scale non-homogeneous and anisotropic nature of workpiece various failures of drills and special hole quality assessment. The key theoretical issues includes material removal mechanism drill failure mechanism surface-process modeling and quality control process optimization drill designing and manufacturing.
