8 5. Find unit rates (review) 6.1 Ratios Unit Rate A unit rate is a rate in which the denominator is 1. e.g.8 NUTRITION There are 180 calories in a 12-ounce serving of apple juice. Write this rate as unit rate. Ans. 15 calories/oz, or 15 calories per ounce e.g.9 PART-TIME JOBS A student earns $90 for working 8 hours in a school cafeteria. Write this rate as unit rate. Ans. $11.25/hr, or $11.25 per hour 8
