10 The impact of using electronic money on the banking transactions The Student's name noura sabah aziz al jazrawi Supervised by Prof Dr Hashim Ramadan Al Jaza'ri Abstract The use of electronic money has spread in a large scale in the last period due to the development occurring in this field, but this development was having a significant impact on the banking operations, in particular, the conventional one, whereas downgraded its usage and consequently benefited the electronic banking transactions as constitute part of it However, such use had at the same time two effects One of them is positive in terms of using and handling and the second one is the negative impact in terms of the abounded fraud operations in relation with the electronic money, and therefore reduced dealing with cash which in turn conduced to have inflation On such bases, the study is taking care of elaborating the meaning of the electronic money through defining and demonstrating the conventional banking and electronic transactions In addition to the civil, penal and administrative protection related to the usage of this money in addition to the role of the banking laws and provisions in banking transaction in this scope The thesis includes five main chapters
