2 TEACHING AND RESEARCH EXPERIENCE 1. I have been teaching physics to undergraduate students since Courses taught include: Engineering Physics, Surface Physics, Computational Physics, Transducers, Digital Electronics, Advanced Electronics, and Applied Electronics and Microprocessors. 2. I have taught the following M.Sc. course: Electrodynamics, Advanced Laboratory Techniques, Advanced Electronics, and Microcomputer Development & Interfacing. I have successfully supervised two (2) M.Sc. students. I am currently supervising two (2) M.Sc. students and two (2) Ph.D. students. 3. I have research experience in the following areas: Modelling of novel low dimensional devices. This work is an attempt to improve performance of semiconductor diode lasers by using non-square (shaped) quantum wells. Diode laser spectroscopy with applications to trace gas monitoring, the main focus being pollutant monitoring. Microprocessor based instrumentation and signal processing. FELLOWSHIPS AND AWARDS: 1.
