6 -2- In ORNL-2823, 11 Effective Cadiu Cutoff Energies, 11 effective cutoffs were presented for point 1/v saples inside of spherical and cylindrical boron and cadiu filters. The odel assued a Maxwellian theral plus a 1/_E epitheral flux and the ratio r = nv (the conventional theral flux)/ - --o r (the epitheral flux per unit ln ~) '\-Tas varied. Other variables were the thickness of the filter and the characteristic Maxwellian energy E (i.e., - the energy corresponding to the odal or ost probable velocity). In the cases of the cylinders only a single value of the height/diaeter (~~) of 2 was presented. Soe cutoff energies have also been calculated for /~ values of 1, 3, 6 and for cadiu.cylinders; these are presented in Table I of this suppleent along with the values for ~~ = 2 for coparison.
