There are three possible answers: one solution, no solutions, or infinite solutions. Looking at the left graph, you will notice that the two lines intersect at exactly one point. Only one value of (x, y) makes both equations true. A solution of a system of linear equations in two variables is an ordered pair that is a solution of each equation in the system.
