Free Summary of CV (Max. of characters, including spaces) I got my Ph.D. degree in Mathematics at the University of Granada in 1997 with a memoir on constant mean curvature surfaces under the direction of A. Ros. Since then, my research interests have focused on geometric variational problems in Riemannian and non- Riemannian spaces, with special interest on isoperimetric problems. In the last years, I became more interested in spaces with a more intricate structure, such as sub-riemannian manifolds and more general metric measure spaces. I made short post-doctoral research stays at MSRI-Berkeley and IMPA-Rio de Janeiro. Since 2004, I was awarded several MTM research grants as a principal investigator. I was 1 of 4 / Short CV
2 coordinator of the Spanish Network of Geometric Analysis and currently I am the local node coordinator of the project GHAIA (Geometric and Harmonic Analysis with Industrial Applications) funded through the call H2020-MSCA-RISE I am also the founding Journal Editor of Analysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces, published by De Gruyter Open since I use to collaborate as a referee with prestigious journals such as Duke Mathematical Journal, Inventiones Mathematicae, Advances in Mathematics, Calculus of variations and PDEs and Journal für die Reine und Angewandte Mathematik, among others. Some remarkable results I have obtained in solitary or in collaboration are: complete classifications of isoperimetric sets in the 3-dimensional real projective space and in the product of a circle with Euclidean space; a complete classification of double bubbles in the 3- dimensional Euclidean space R3; a topological characterization of isoperimetric curves in convex surfaces; existence of solutions of the Allen-Cahn equation near non-degenerate minimal surfaces; an alternative proof of the isoperimetric conjecture for 3-dimensional Cartan-Hadamard manifolds; optimal isoperimetric inequalities outside convex sets, both in Euclidean space and in 3-dimensional Cartan-Hadamard manifolds; partial solutions to the isoperimetric conjecture in the sub-riemannian Heisenberg groups, either assuming that the boundary of the set is C2 in the first Heisenberg group H1 or under symmetry assumptions in Hn; solutions of the Bernstein problem in the first Heisenberg group H1; regularity results for surfaces of prescribed mean curvature in 3-dimensional contact sub-riemannian manifold; a Steiner s formula in the Heisenberg groups; a Brunn-Minkowski inequality for metric measure spaces; and a characterization of isoperimetric regions of large volumes in Riemannian cylinders (product of a compact Riemannian manifold with Euclidean space). Currently I am interested in regularity problems for solutions of geometric variational problems in sub-riemannian manifolds and spaces with low regularity where classical approaches are useless. Since 2007, I am full professor at the Department of Geometry and Topology of the University of Granada. Part C. Relevant accomplishments C.1. Publications 1. M. Ritoré, E. CVs presented in other formats WILL BE DISMISSED with no possibilities for modifications. GENERAL CONSIDERATIONS Following the call it is mandatory to use the following format when filling the document: Font Times New Roman / Arial (minimum size 11), single interlineal space, lateral margins of 2.5 cm and top and bottom margins of 1.5 cm. Max. length of the whole document (Part A, B and C) cannot exceed four pages. PART A. PERSONAL INFORMATION Researcher ID is a unique identifier that consists of alphanumeric characters that enable researchers to manage their publication lists, track their times cited counts and h-index, identify potential collaborators and avoid author misidentification. It is hosted by Web of Science. Access: Web of Science > My Tools > Researcher ID. Author ID is a unique identifier that consists of alphanumeric characters that enable researchers to manage their publication lists, track their times cited counts and h-index, identify potential collaborators and avoid author misidentification. It is assigned automatically by SCOPUS. You can find an author identifier by running a search for that author. It will appear underneath the author details. Access: SCOPUS > Author Feedback Wizard> Researcher name. Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) provides a persistent digital identifier that distinguishes the researcher from every other person and, through integration in key research workflows such as manuscript and grant submission, supports automated linkages between you and your professional activities ensuring that your work is recognized.
