With regard to non-zero formulated hypotheses: the Van Hiele levels of geometrical reasoning are present with varying degrees in eighth grade students. The results of most students in the study sample in the administered Van Hiele test converged on the mean. With regard to zero formulated hypotheses: the study did not find any differences with statistical nificance between male and female achievement in both the Van Hiele Geometrical Test, the study found differences of statistical nificance in the achievement of urban and countryside students to the advantage of city students in the Van Hiele Test,.. There are no differences of statistical nificance in the mean achievement between male and female countryside students in the Van Hiele Geometrical Test. There are no differences of statistical nificance in the mean achievement between male and female city students in the Van Hiele Geometrical Test. In the light of the results of this study, the researcher recommended a series of recommendations. Keywords: Van Hiele Levels, Geometrical Thought Assistant professor, Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods, Damascus university, Damascus, Syria. postgraduate student, Department of Curriculum and Teaching Methods, Damascus university, Damascus, Syria. 114
