Kerja-kerja ini dapat diilustrasikan seperti gambarajah di bawah. 5 8. Diagram 3 shows two similar coffee maker A and B, containing different amount of coffee on similar hot plates stove. The coffee in both coffee makers are heated by turning on the power supply of the hot plate. After few minutes, it was observed that the coffee in coffee maker B is hotter than the coffee in coffee maker A. Some countries have used it to generate electrical energy in thier country. Your country is planning to use nuclear to generate electrical energy. As a nuclear expert, you are invited to give some ideas to build a nuclear power reactor in your country. Nuklear adalah salah satu sumber tenaga. Beberapa negara telah menggunakannya untuk menjana tenaga elektrik di negara mereka. Negara anda bercadang untuk menggunakan nuklear untuk menjana tenaga elektrik. Sebagai pakar nuklear, anda dijemput untuk memberi idea bagi pembinaan reaktor kuasa nuklear tersebut.

Base on your knowledge, suggest an improvement to increase the efficiency and safety of nuclear power reactor based on the characteristics given. Berdasarkan pengetahuan anda, cadangkan penambahbaikan untuk meningkatkan kecekapan dan keselamatan reactor kuasa nuklear itu berdasarkan ciri-ciri yang diberikan. (a) What is the meaning of heat? Apakah yang dimaksudkan dengan haba? [1 mark] (b) Observe Diagram 9.2, compare the final temperature of the spoons, time taken for spoon to become hot and the rate of change in temperature. Relate the specific heat capacity with the time taken for the spoon to become hot. Hence, relate the specific heat capacity and the rate of change in temperature of the spoons. Perhatikan Rajah 9.2, bandingkan suhu akhir sudu-sudu, masa sudu menjadi panas dan kadar perubahan suhu. Hubungkaitkan muatan haba tentu dan masa untuk sudu menjadi panas. Seterusnya, hubungkaitkan muatan haba tentu dan kadar perubahan suhu sudu. [5 marks]

8 4. 5. Diagram 11.1 shows an air ventilation system used in a house. Rajah 11.1 menunjukkan satu sistem pengudaraan yang digunakan di sebuah rumah. (ii) Explain in terms of heat transfer, how the air ventilation system worked to cool down house. Terangkan dalam konteks pengaliran haba, bagaimana sistem pengudaraan bekerja untuk menyejukkan rumah. [4 marks] (b) Diagram 11.2 shows a tiny house made from steel shipping container. It is economical and popular in overseas nowadays. However during summer, it can be extremely hot. Rajah 11.2 menunjukkan sebuah rumah mini yang diperbuat dari kontena keluli. Ianya sangat ekonomi dan popular di luar negara pada masa kini. Walaubagaimanapun semasa musim panas, ia boleh menjadi amat panas.
