10 Limits 7 ( 1 ) at 9% CL based on ~ 9 fb -1 per experiment Mode BaBar Belle My Combination B( τ µ µ + µ ) B( τ µ µ + e ) B( τ µ e + µ ) B( τ µ e + e ) B( τ e µ + e ) B( τ e e + e ) Published Lepton Flavor Violation Limits BaBar: PRL 92, (24) Belle: PLB 589, 13 (24) 7 Also B( τ µγ ) < and B( τ µη) < (Belle) B-factories have lowered these limits Over 5 fb -1 (.5 ab -1 ) expected in next few years 5 distinct modes listed in PDG with LF, L, or B violation Many interesting channels: τ lhh, τ µη', τ pγ,... τ lll limits should approach O(1-8 ) soon Many models predictions are above this level!
