The (a ) is ot bouded, sice if it were the Mootoe Covergece Theorem would imply that (a ) would coverge. Sice (a ) is ubouded ad mootoe, ay subsequece is also ubouded. If (a ) had a Cauchy subsequece, by the Cauchy Criterio, this subsequece would coverge ad would therefore be bouded, a cotradictio. Therefore (a ) cotais o Cauchy subsequeces as desired.
