What things would the community need to store in the castle? Idea: search specific castles for the floor plan / blueprint to use as a basis for your design Now that you have researched several different castles, it is time to begin your drawing your floor plan (or blueprint). 21 The Donkey and his Purchaser A man who wanted to buy a donkey went to market, and, coming across a likely-looking beast, arranged with the owner that he should be allowed to take him home on trial to see what he was like. When he reached home, he put him into his stable along with the other donkeys. The newcomer took a look round, and immediately went and chose a place next to the laziest and greediest beast in the stable. When the master saw this he put a halter on him at once, and led him off and handed him over to his owner again. The owner was a good deal surprised to seem him back so soon, and said, "Why, do you mean to say you have tested him already?" "I don't want to put him through any more tests," replied the other. "I could see what sort of beast he is from the companion he chose for himself." The Wolf in Sheep's Clothing The Lamb that belonged to the sheep, whose skin the Wolf was wearing, began to follow the Wolf in the Sheep's clothing; so, leading the Lamb a little apart, he soon made a meal off her, and for some time he succeeded in deceiving the sheep, and enjoying hearty meals. What a fine looking head! he cried. Pity it lacks brains! The Swallow and the Crow The swallow and the crow had an argument as to which was the finer bird. The crow ended the dispute by saying, Your feathers may be beautiful and fine during the summer, but mine will protect me and last for many winters. The Donkey and the Grasshopper After hearing some grasshoppers chirping, a donkey was enchanted by their music and wanted to acquire the same melodic charms. When he asked them what they ate to sing so sweetly, they told him that they dined on nothing but dew. Consequently, the donkey followed the same diet, but he soon died of hunger.
