Nightmare SARCOFAGO Cover (Live at Innsbruck, ) Terrorshort Edit Version because the fucking Cam Battery broke Peculiarities: The booklet of the Herbstleyd album went through a process of incessant changes and pressing mistakes like no other booklet by Nargaroth. The first 1000 units of the first pressing include elements which I did mean as I wrote them, but which are not to be interpreted politically in any way! Moreover, it contains a multitude of typing errors because the booklet contents were sent to the Dutch pressing plant as an A4 printout and typewritten by employees of this Dutch firm without an opportunity to proofread them again. The font in the first pressing was entirely silvery. The consecutive pressing was, in favor of a better legibility, completely written in bronze color and freed from those statements misinterpreted again and again. In addition, a Y crept in at the end of a song title on the outward bottom card for unaccountable reasons. Hm. The third pressing version was mixed as regards the colors, with all the pages in bronze color except for the middle pages, which remain silvery. Furthermore, it contained the Connected logo down on the bottom card because there did exist an opportunity for a distribution, which, however, did not become realized in the end. As far as I know, the current pressing is completely the same as described right now, but without the Connected logo down on the bottom card.

3 Introduction When I went outside afterwards, the light was just perfect. Golden autumn. I could always sense it, every year there was this cold, sharp serenity in the air, this light, these colors. As if the earth disclosed upon us that summer is over, and irrecoverably so. Winter is coming, and there s nothing you can do about it. Many say that they always fall in love in spring. But not I! I always fall in love in fall. This season is so incredibly hopeless. And I will never see it again. But even if the enemy will kill every human being on earth, autumn will always be there. Autumn/Fall Suffering (Herbstleyd) Autumn Suffering. Autumn Suffering. Pale leaf kissed by the tear which fell through dead flesh. Pain gave birth to the yearning for death the autumn decay Not a wave hits the water, silently kissed by the moonlight Red tears are mixing with the dead leaves Fear whose name was love, a dragger made from hatred is sleeping now deeply in my heart Fear creates the suffering of solitude which is longing for decay. 5 The old Warrior s Calmness (Des Alten Kriegers Seelenruh ) Where the fires painting with their dance, up in the clouds so eternal, where the moon shines coldly at night and casts the mountains shadows into the winterclad land. Where daemons hunt in the snowclad, eruptions of lust refresh my soul. My body is carried by elves, let me look into the icy distance. Icy mountains are sleeping within my view, I am standing at the edge of deep forests. The frosty song of the naked wind is all I ever heard. And beneath the towers which once were captured I am lying now and looking into the valley. And observing creations of ice I am waiting for the sun to set. Children are sleeping in the mountains, who must not be found. And the blind finder is seeking restlessly, he lost his childhood a long time ago. The aged hand is wearing down the snow, his moist eyes moved deeply. When the sun dies in red, he is lying down besides the children. They screamed when my sword was killing their fetuses. Screamed through the hatred I had in my eyes. A storm is gathering

6 Amarok ~ Wrath of the Lamb The sky was opened like a page of a book Sins were not wanted in the curse s rotting den of iniquity The kings of the world were hiding inside dark caves The moon falls into the sun, to rot in heavens grave. The white lamb is wearing a black dress, it is bathing in vomited pain. It is throwing off the white coat, the wolf resurrects from the cold grave. Oh so bitterly the new corn of the seed is thriving in the lamb s wrath. You... persistent you have once preached, the innocence of unpolluted children. Lies have eternalized... Praising now lapidating the finder. The black lamb will raze, slicing your false throats, the truth came with the day, never again will she torment you...

7 The Black Painting A black work of art, whose nameless artist is governing creative thought-processes buried within us, in our sight. For the decadent, a lifeless parchment of haphazard aesthetic. For the enlightened, an illuminated plain of desolate, languishing existence in the ecstasy of perfect beauty. Drawn with the blood of guilt, it reveals to us images of our desires and our fantasy. A black painting, the picture burnt The frame charred, once called life. The significance determined by the mind, for the time of your life, escaping you. A black painting, a mirror image picture book. It reads your thoughts and transforms them to images, which had been yours alone. The colors of the mask are fading, and a white face lights up the black velvet. The tears leave salty rims, for a long time visible the origin, to construe their course, to taste their meaning. The sun might dry them but not hide them! And only in darkness, colors lose their meaning. Only then, we reveal our faces, let masks burst, coils drop. Then, the white rim of the tears is invisible We lick our wounds, but the salt of the tears run dry burns our flesh and lets the remedy hurt us... Screams are searching the veil of darkness, Reaching every nearby ear to let the receiver hasten to help. For screams are the only language known to all. But darkness prevents looks from finding their source. Erratically he s straying about.

8 Frenzy is the inevitable course, for overwhelming seems the pain. No word can be formed now which could guide the seeker. Instead, the sounds from my throat make the seeker flee in terror. So we remain bleeding dry. The theatre of life long since burnt down. Yet, the embers are warming me, burning my hand. Turned to ashes is the gown I once bore. Tortured in pain, who once beat me. The burst lips of those who never touched me to bedew. The split tongues of those who consciously lied at me. It is pain, bearing unruly lust inside of me. Rejoice, you blissful children of the light. But your painting will forever only be black. About The Dream, To Kill Mankind I dream about killing, the false, the hated. I dream thereof... I dream of the cold time, when the forest brought forth death. I dream thereof... Mosswomen rush through the night. Witches and furies wander through the forest. The rivers full of dismembered bodies. Death seduced my soul... I glance at an elvendaughter, beneath the appletree, now it became clear to me. We have prevailed, we have prevailed!

9 Outroduction There is a greater darkness than that which we are fighting. It is the darkness of the soul which has lost its way. The war we are waging is not against great powers or sovereigns, but against chaos and despondency. Much graver than the death of physical matter is the death of hope, the death of dreams. And to this menace we must never surrender. The future is everywhere about us. In the phase of transition it is waiting for being newly born in the phase of enlightenment. No-one knows what the future will look like and where it will lead us. Just one thing we do know: It is always born in pain Booklet Contents: In equanimity it is rolling along, the Sun bathing the cold stone, pursued by sister Moon And when brother Sun is uniting with the horizon and sister Moon is weeping at the firmament, the warrior awakes to a new life. He leaves his damp tomb to condemn the tongues of the false, and the autumn sorrow will be his fellow, so... I am waiting for the day when the Sun will begin to dance with the Moon, and the Earth is soaked with the blood of mankind. And when the swords have ceased singing and the stars are knolling peace, the warrior doffs his clothes to entrust himself in the Moon s care. When the last night fell across the Earth and the fire burned down, the stars did no longer hear his voice, and the sound of fighting swords, which had long since been carried away by the winds, escorts his soul upwards to the firmament, so that it shall wander among the stars and find its peace there. And with the new-born sun, a new, still young world hazarded a new start, free from all human tyranny. Oh dream, I bend my head towards your feet, into the drivel of mankind, who has but wailing and gnashing of teeth for you. And yet I have to endure them. so I, too, have long since fallen into madness Kanwulf

10 Supplement of the CD Booklet (its until today totally up-to-date!) Still, there are a great number of people who scrounge like maggots on the flesh of a dying cult! New wild-hearted and hot-blooded warriors used to emerge from every winter, but, the winters have become mild and fat-bellied baby faces took the places of the warriors. That s how suffering is created in autumn winter won t give us any warriors anymore. It was inevitable that the former hatred against Christians turned and now concerns our own ranks, since more and more scum began to dance on the dying body of Black Metal. One could read how the commercialization could have been stooped in pseudo intellectual debates and holocaust anecdotes in zines and mags, but people only stood and watched, because everyone wanted to get some of the big cake (or corpse) to earn their living with Black Metal. But living on Black Metal shouldn t mean striving for material things. It means to let it nourish you, to experience it and to live it in order to survive a little bit longer in this world. But among this antagonist masses or trend-society, nobody is interested in that anymore.
