The Ancient and Mystical Order Rosae Crucis, also called the Rosicrucian Order (AMORC), is a worldwide philosophical and humanistic, fraternal order devoted to "the study of the elusive mysteries of life and the universe." The organization is non-sectarian and it is open to both men and women of adult age regardless of their various religious persuasions. The current open cycle in America of AMORC was re-activated by Harvey Spencer Lewis in Lewis received authority to do so from the Supreme Council of the Rosicrucian Order after being tried, tested and finally initiated into the Order in 1909, Toulouse, France. AMORC's teachings draw upon ideas of the major philosophers, particularly Pythagoras, Thales, Solon, Heraclitus and Democritus. The teachings are divided into Degrees which are further grouped into broad categories under titles such as Postulant, Neophyte and Initiate sections. These degrees cover various fields related to physical, mental, psychic and spiritual existence such as physics, metaphysics, biology, psychology, parapsychology, comparative religion, traditional healing techniques, health, intuition, extrasensory perception, material and spiritual alchemy, meditation, sacred architecture, symbolism, and that mystical state of consciousness relating to the experience of unity with the Divine. 3 vague about. It is a great book for the new Rosicrucian (actually a suggested reading for a newer initiate) and for any one that is just curious about the order. This is a wonderful view of the Rosicrucian History and levels. It also gives the Rosicrucian Metaphysical view of the body and spirit of man.this book is a must for the serious Metaphysics student for the Novice or the Adept. I have been studying the Occult for over 20yrs and got quite a lot out of it. Some new ways to look at known things and reaffirmations of some old lessons.you will not learn magic from it, though. Very helpful as an introduction about Rosicrucianism within AMORC, what it entails to be a member, some basic symbolism, and what is expected of members. This would be useful if you are thinking of joining the order which is something that I am considering. This is a good description of the Rosicrucian order, without giving away the inner secrets of the order. I'm not a member of this group but this book gave a thorough description of those items the Rosicrucians can share. It intrigued me enough to follow up and check out the AMORC website and to look up the local chapter in my city. If you have an interest, this is a good book to review. Be aware that it does pull you into the rather deep rabbit hole for this and other modern occult groups if you choose to pursue it. Thrilled to see this bring to light more information on the Rosicrucian Order! I was actually surprised they would put out such a manual publicly, only because it really has a ton of great information on this organization's history and a general idea of their practices that, as other reviewers have stated, has been warped by misinformation, controversy and drama throughout history. Definitely worth checking out! If I ever start a corporation, I plan on using a lot of the language in the start of this book. Other than that, more of a different type of dogmatic system with vertical structure. A bit boring, but it does have manual in the title. I'm not planning on joining "The Order." This book is written by a known Rosicrucian leader, and founder of the public modern day movement. That alone is worth the money, because there is so much disinformation planted in its history. That has been to protect them from exploiters. There is no nefarious motives at any level of Rosicrucianism that I have been able to find. This is what sets them apart from a cheap copy of them in the form of the Rosae Croix level of Freemasonry. If you are interested in some solid basis

4 of understanding of Rosicrucianism, this seems to be a balanced book on the topic written by someone with authority. The other book I could recommend is the one by Magus Icognito, the Secrets of the Rosicrucians. This is the only substantial way to learn of the topic, with all the sound bites and snippets of opinions on the Internet to the contrary. That's my best estimate, after a year of searching for substantial information online. Get up to speed on Rosicrucianism. Very interesting read, some material is dated, but a wealth of info on AMORC and its theories. Well worth the money for fratres & sorores. Although most of the information in this ebook is specific to members of the order, there is some valuable morsels for the laypersoni've had an interest in the discipline for a while. I enjoyed reading the book.
