1 Friday, 1 October 2010 ROSE OF DENMARK MINE RE-DEVELOPMENT COMMENCES Redevelopment of Key Regional target Rose of Denmark Mine Rose of Denmark is a High Grade shallow depth opportunity Multiple samples of Coarse Visible Gold found in dyke rock to date Development has progressed 255m Underground (target 340m) Underground Development Commenced Morning Star Gold NL (MCO) has commenced underground operations at the Rose of Denmark mine, which is located at Gaffney s Creek, Victoria approximately 14 km from MCO s Morning Star gold mine at Woods Point. The Rose of Denmark is on Mining Licence 5299 and is being operated by MCO on behalf of their Joint Venture with new Chinese partners. The Rose of Denmark mine produced 39,794ozs of gold historically at an average of 12.5 g/t Au over 180 metres in depth (6 U/G Levels). The style of mineralisation is recorded to be similar to the Morning Star mine with the mineralisation associated with quartz veining in a mafic igneous dyke. Coarse Visible Gold Encountered In redeveloping the Rose of Denmark adit/drive MCO s underground miners have discovered multiple pieces of coarse visible gold in the blasted dyke and also in mullock left behind in the historic stopes by previous miners (see photos below). MCO has started stockpiling and sampling of ore material and results of the sampling are expected back during October. Depending on the grades returned the Rose of Denmark ore will trucked to the Morning Star mine and treated at MCO s new gravity plant that is currently being commissioned and expected to be fully operational in November An opportunity exists to mine tonnes from the dyke once the mineralisation is test further. Mapping and sampling of the Rose of Denmark mine and dyke will accelerate once the old engine room / winding chamber has been reached and made safe. From that point, planning of the underground drill hole program and exact locality will be done. Samples of Coarse Visible Gold found recently are below.

3 340m Development Planned to Dyke Bulge / Chamber Room MCO plan is to refurbish the existing adit drive approximately 340 metres from the portal entry in order to conduct underground diamond drilling from the location of a large old engine/winder room above the old internal shaft atop the dyke bulge (see attached diagrams). The Rose of Denmark main adit follows the Rose of Denmark dyke in a north-westerly direction underground to and beyond the internal winding room and shaft area. The average width of the dyke along the main drive is 2 to 3 metres. However at the targeted winding chamber room, the dyke bulges out to a thickness of at least 15 metres. High grade gold mineralisation in the Woods Point Dyke Swarm is most often associated with dyke bulges as with the prodigious & rich Morning Star dyke. Historic records indicate the Rose of Denmark has not been mined since around Additionally records indicate the dyke has never been drilled. MCO s planned underground drilling will test the mineralisation below the historic workings, which were centred on the dyke bulge and reached a depth of only 180 metres. The drilling is also planned to test along strike from the existing stopes. The dyke is known to be at least 1.5kms in length. In addition, the location of the drive allows for significant exploration above the level of the main adit with 300m to 400m vertically untested in the Rose of Denmark dyke. 4 Dyke Bulge Expected to be reached in Oct 2010 To date MCO has refurbished 255 metres along the 340 metre length of the Rose of Denmark adit (to the old winding chamber). A couple of significant old stopes have been detoured around with two collapsed rises having blocked the adit drive. MCO expects to reach the winder room (initial proposed drilling location) in October this year.
