5 Why Yukon? Multiple significant new gold discoveries have made Yukon one of the hottest exploration jurisdictions in the world. The majority of these discoveries have been grassroots in nature in which companies have rapidly advanced projects from initial raw stream sediment or soil anomaly stage prospects. Yukon has the right geology for hosting top tier gold deposits yet remains grossly underexplored. Vast regions of the territory have received virtually no modern methodical exploration for gold. 6 Why Carlin-type Deposits? They are large, high grade deposits that are highly sought after by senior gold producers. They occur in clusters, meaning that if you find one, there are likely several more around. They form large producing districts Carlin-type deposits have produced more than 100 million ounces of gold in Nevada since initial discovery in the 1960s. The deposits are distributed over a large area and include several +10 million ounce deposits. For years, companies have searched the globe for the next Carlin-type gold district, and the new Osiris gold discovery by ATAC Resources has, with little question, documented Carlin-type gold mineralization in the Yukon. 7 Why Us? The Carlin-Constantine joint venture team moved very quickly to acquire a large land position in an area that shows signs of becoming a major new gold district. A science-based approach was taken, with claims staked specifically to cover tracts of ground with geochemical and geological elements characteristic of Carlin-type gold systems.
