4 FREEWAT glavni rezultat Odprto in javno dostopno GIS integrirano modelno okolje za simulacijo količine in kvalitete površinske in podzemne vode. Sedanja pomanjkljivost pristopov Vrednost uporabe naprednih tehnologij v upravljanju z vodami se pogosto zmanjšuje z dejstvom, da so v študije vključeni le dobro usposobljeni praktiki in profesionalci ter le-ti predstavljajo rezultate deležnikom. Ti niso aktivno vključeni v razvoj modelov in se morajo zanašati in zaupati tistim, ki izdelajo analizo. 4
5 FREEWAT namen in izziv Preseči izključno tehnični pristop pri ravnanju z zelo kompleksnimi zadevami povezanimi z vodo. Povezava in vključitev velikega obsega deležnikov. Uvedba sodelovalnega pristopa. Ne-tehnični vidik sistema vodnih virov (družbeni, politični, pravni) ima veliko, če ne celo temeljno pomembnost pri doseganju usklajenih odločitev. FREEWAT struktura projekta Štirje stebri: koordinacija predhodnih nacionalnih in EU financiranih projektov za postavitev FREEWAT platforme testni primeri na lokalnih ravneh predstavitev uporabe FREEWAT z inovativnim sodelovalnim načelom, ki poveže tehnično osebje z relevantnimi deležniki v razvoju in simulaciji scenarijev za primerno strategijo upravljanja z vodami izobraževanje deležnikov 5
6 Predhodni projekti SID&GRID raziskovalni projekt (EU-POR FSE Regione Toscana Italy), EU FP7 projekt MARSOL (Demonstrating Managed Aquifer Recharge as a Solution to Water Scarcity and Drought QUIMET projekt (Catalan Water Agency) EU LIFE NITRATOS (Repercussions of agricultural practices on the nitrate pollution of inland waters) EU EUREKA project egms (Development of the modular system for application in the IWRM practices and floods prevention, organization of egms diabase; FEDER12 projekt (francoski nacionalni projekt) develops 3D databases, namely PostGIS 3D, to be able to store and manipulate 3D objects and 3D meshes. FREEWAT & UNESCO UNESCO-kov Hydro Free in FOSS Platform of Experts (HOPE) Initiative, katerih cilj je razvoj (inovacija)/uporaba Free in FOSS v učinkovitem upravljanju z vodnimi viri v Afriških deželah. HOPE glavni rezultati: 1) Primerna platforma (HOPE) za gostovanje Free in FOSS za upravljanje z vodami 2) Strategije: postopki, pravila in zakonodaja za razvoj, sodelovanje in vzdrževanje ter uporabo Free in FOSS za upravljanje z vodami; 3) Ljudje, ki delajo v sektorju voda v Afriki, imajo informacijo, znanje in veščine za uporabo Free in FOSS v upravljanju z vodami; 4) HOPE Iniciativa je učinkovita in dobro vodena. 6
