4 GEOTOURISM Geotourism is defined as tourism that sustains or enhances the distinctive geographical character (landscape) of a place its environment, heritage, aesthetics, culture and the well-being of its residents NGS
5 GEOTOURISM knowledge-based tourism, an interdisciplinary integration of the tourism industry with conservation and interpretation of abiotic nature attributes, besides considering related cultural issues, within the geosites for general public. Sadry, 2009
6 GEOSITE Geosite is a place that has a particular geological or geomorphological significance. As well as its inherent geological characteristics, but may also have cultural or heritage significance.

15 BIOGEOTRAIL KUBANG BADAK Site 01 Culture Kubang Badak Jetty Introduction of fishing village, tradition, sociocultural and safety guide. Site 02 Geology Information Centre/ Kubang Badak Gallery (Geopark) Introduction of Langkawi Geopark, BioGeotrail Kubang Badak and tourism products. Site 03 Biology Kubang Badak Island Introduction to biodiversity, mangroves, the uniqueness of mangrove of Kubang Badak Island (mangrove homogenous).
16 BIOGEOTRAIL KUBANG BADAK Site 04 Culture Siam River I History, the remains of the village of Thailand, the practice of cultural heritage (Manura Dance) and socio-economic). Site 05 Culture Siam River II History of production of charcoal from mangroves. Site 06 Biology Siam River III Biodiversity of wetlands, mangroves, fauna and flora of mangrove (wildlife, birds, mammals), the importance of wetland ecosystems.
17 BIOGEOTRAIL KUBANG BADAK Site 07 Geology Biology Gua Pinang a new explored cave unique and interesting geological and biological characteristics. Site 08 Geology Hot Spring (?) Kubang Badak Stems from the ocean floor, unique and interesting geological phenomenon. Site 09 Geology Geosite of Jemuruk Island The upper layer of Machinchang formation contains trilobites fossil and important geological history.
18 BIOGEOTRAIL KUBANG BADAK Site 10 Geology Tanjung Buta Geosite A geosite that has been developed for geoscience education -preserved the evidence of the oldest rock in Malaysia. Site 11 Geology Nature Look out Point A look out point to enjoy the beautiful landscape, especially landscapes of mountainous Machinchang, mangrove estuary and karst landscape (limestone). Site 12 Geology Biology Shoal Sand/ Mud Flat New estuarine ecosystem, rich in biodiversity of shells such as clams and snails (Bivalvia and Gastropoda).
