2 The Highs of the Bakken From Institute for Energy Research 2011, 468 rigs were operating in ND 25% of the US rigs at the time. March 2012 ND produced ~18 million barrels of oil Surpassed Alaska and California, second only to Texas. Sheet.pdf 10/1/
