15 Key elements of the KECF project About KECF Eco-Efficient Urban Infrastructure, and Green & Livable Cities - Established 1987, the Korea-ESCAP Cooperation Fund (KECF) is an important instrument to enable ESCAP to build national capacities in Asia and the Pacific. - As one of the key activities in the KECF, the project entitled Pilot implementation of the low carbon green growth roadmap for Asia and the Pacific has been proposed. 18 Eco-Efficient GEO-REF Information Water Urban Infrastructure, Platform and Green for Disaster & Livable Management Cities Organization of National Workshop Title: Sustainable urban and industry development in Mongolia; Venue: Ulaanbaatar Hotel, Ulaanbaatar, August Objectives: i. focus on the prospects of greening industries through energy and water efficiencies including the application of 3R principles (reduce, reuse and recycle) in the context of rapid urbanization, particularly in Ulaanbaatar; ii. discuss current national policies including green development policy, issues/challenges for greening industries and sustainable urban development with focus on energy and water issues in Mongolia particularly in and around Ulaanbaatar; iii. exchange knowledge and experiences; and iv. discuss ways and means; and develop a set of recommendations for deliberation by the Government of Mongolia towards greening industries and sustainable urban development. The target groups: relevant government officials, experts on integrated resources management/eco-efficient energy-water infrastructure, industry and urban development.
