What are the Millennium Development goals

To compare the climate of Asia to the UK. 3. To understand the population density of Asia 4. To compare the population density of Asia to other parts of the world. 5. To understand the geography of Japan. 6. To gain appreciate of the cultural differences in Japan. 7. To understand how Japan has developed in to an international industrial powerhouse. 8. To use our prior knowledge and answer questions about Asia.

To be able to locate the Savannah Ecosystem and identify its living and non-living components. 6. Assessment To reflect and show out knowledge of different ecosystems. 1. What and Where is the Russia 2. Who are the Russians? 3. To identify the human characteristics of Russia Summer 2 2 F. Russia 4. Russia and Borders 5. Is Russia a wealthy (developed) Country? 6. To create links between Russia and Sport. 7. To understand how Russia is going to develop in the future. 8. ASSESSMENT The Geography of Russia. Assessments: Pupils will have 12 assessments throughout the year based on the key geographical skills: COMMUNICATION PATTERNS PLACES LOCATION SKILLS These will be awarded a level each time and will be shared with the student alongside dialogic marking whereby pupils will have a chance to respond to their teacher s comments and action targets. Homework: Geography homework is set on a weekly basis as an extension of the curriculum.
4 Year 8 Year 8 Coordinator Mr. Owen Students develop an in depth analysis of key human and physical processes that are relevant in the real world. Human problems such as population growth and attitudes to the environment are complimented by the study of key natural phenomena such as the impacts of earthquakes and flooding. How has a headland and bay been formed? 3. What is a cave, arch and stack? 4. How do waves erode cliffs? 5. What are the causes and effects of cliff collapse at Holbeck Hall? 6. How can coastal areas be managed? 7. How do coastal defences affect people? 8. Should Happisburgh have sea defences? Spring B. Population 1. What has happened to the population of the world since 1800? 2. What is natural change and what are the factors that influence it? 3. Where do people live in the world? Why is this population distribution changing? 4. Where do people live around the world?
