3 LC800 is a completely new and unique concept, designed for maximum performance in high resolution of separations. Take a look at the column oven below and you can see how we have combined all the thermally affected parts inside the column oven. Not only the fluid path is kept as short as possible to minimize dead-volume, but all the tubing connections remain inside the oven. Injection Valve HPLC Column Gradient Mixer Built-in UV detector flow cell unit (other detectors also can be used) The gradient mixer, injector and flow cell are all equilibrated at the setting temperature as the separation column; the result is a significant reduction in band-broadening and sharper peaks, which leads to a dramatic increase in sensitivity and separation. 4 Smart HPLC LC800 UHPLC Smart HPLC HPLC LC800 is a new and innovative development concept offering maximum performance for your analysis. Until now, compounds that were difficult to be separated, but these can now be separated easily with LC800. High separation using UHPLC columns are greatly influenced by the system dead-volume. To overcome this we have designed a fully integrated system, consisting of gradient pump, a high capacity autosampler and a range of detectors, together with the unique concept of all the critical system components being built into the column oven. The injection valve, gradient mixer and detector flow cell are thermally stabilized to prevent solvent temperature gradients that can reduce separation efficiency.
